Sweet 16

Rayleigh turned 16 on February 2, unfortunately we were in Texas for Ray's dad's memorial service. Rayleigh got to spend her 16th birthday all day at the service, but she didn't complain at all she was a real trooper. We celebrated the night before at her Grandma Funny's house.
She was completely surprised about the cake and presents at her grandma's house. It is so hard to believe that she is 16, she has grown up so fast. Rayleigh is a fantastic young lady, she is very smart and very caring not to mention, very pretty.
Rayleigh is still waiting to get her license, hopefully within the next week. This is Rayleigh with her new car, that her dad helped her buy. I think she was pretty excited!!!
Kind of scary to have a child that is old enough to drive, but Rayleigh is very responsible and will do just fine. This has also been a great lesson for Dalton. We told Dalton that he too can get a car when he turns 16, however he will have to improve his grades, etc.... LOVE BRIBERY!!!

Saturday Soccer

Saturday mornings are crazy here at the Bass house with both Gavin and Connor
playing Soccer. For the last month it has been so cold at the games, but this
week it wasn't so bad.

Gavin loves to play soccer and he always has such a big smile on his face. He was a little upset after the last game because he didn't make any goals. I always feel bad for the team that plays Gavin's team. Gavin has a great coach and has taught them so much and they always slaughter the opposing team--not that we keep score at this age, but if you ask the kids they always know the score.

Connor's team is alot of fun to watch, because they all take it so seriously. At this age they get so competitive, and the games are always intense.
Connor's team did win and as Connor said it was by a landside. Connor didn't make any goals either this week, but had some great assists. Only 3 more games this season--I sure hope it gets warmer.

Happy Birthday Brittney

Yes 2 posts today!!! Hopefully this one will look much better than the last one. My sweet niece Brittney turned 15 years old today. She is such a fun and pretty girl. It is hard for me to believe that she is already 15. Here is a picture of here and her best friend Ashlee--they are two peas in a pod! (Brittney is the one on the left) Brittney's party!!
Lots of candles Crazy cousins, Brenden and Gavin--they miss their St. George cousins very much
And finally my brother Andy--always the life of the party

Friday project

As most of you know I am neither mechanically inclined nor am I very "crafty". Anyway I figured that Dalton needed a new dresser since how he has been using those plastic drawers on wheels for the last few years. So I thought that I would go and buy him a new dresser. Trying to be thrifty I bought this at--yes--Wally World!! And so Gavin and I began our "project".

Yes you have it right this me with a screwdriver, (no vodka involved)!!

T

The picture on the upper left is what it looked like after 3 hours, yes you read it right 3!!!!! And now the finished product it took me a total of 4 hours and now I have several blisters, and unfortunately I think Gavin learned a few choice words! Now tomarrow I get to put togethers a dresser for Gavin---Any takers on how long it will take me!!

By the way just posting this blog took me almost an hour to figure out how to add pictures and text--Looks like I need to practice!
