Today is Ray's 42nd birthday. Seems like yesterday he was just 26 years old and we got married. He is a great dad and fabulous husband.
Ray doesn't like to celebrate his birthday but the kids and I got him a small present and made him a cake. My parents did come over to wish him a happy birthday, and Brittney sent him a text from the Grover family.
The only thing Ray wanted for his birthday was a "boob" cake. I am not very creative and wasn't sure how to make one, I looked for Hostess snowballs, but couldn't find any, so I improvised. I baked two "boobs" in large custard cups and then covered them in whip cream, and of course with cherries on top. I don't know who got the most giggles out of it. The kids or my mom.

Lavapalooza
This past weekend Ray and I got away from the kids and went to Lava Hot Springs, ID. May 17, 2008 was the 1st annual Lavapalooza--Harley Davidson charity ride for muscular dystrophy. No we do not own a Harley and yes we drove the mini van!! A great time was had by all, there were concerts, food, vendors etc.... and of course the pools.
This is a picture of one of the bands, they were really fun to watch. One guy played the accordian and then there was another guy who played a washboard with SPOONS! They were really good and Ray even bought their CD. All the proceeds of the event went to benefit the March of Dimes and Autisim. Ray and I do not get to get away very often without the kids, I think we need to try and get away more often!!

Excitement in Hooper
Today was an interesting day I was just getting out the shower when our landscaper was ringing my doorbell, since I was soaking wet, and naked, I didn't answer. He then started knocking on the door, still wet so didn't answer. Next thing I heard the phone ringing, it was the landscaper. He told me that he hit a gas line while digging a trench, no biggie he said, he has done it before but the fire dept and Questar were on the way .

Boys will be boys
Finally the weather has been decent, we rolled out the 4-wheelers and rode up and down the streets. One of the fabulous perks of living in Hooper, 4-wheelers are an accepted form of transportation.
Connor looks so cute riding the 4-wheeler.
Brotherly love, well I can dream anyway--I am sure they were arguing about something.
Gavin got this little 4-wheeler for Christmas about a year and a half ago, but hasn't been able to ride it. The battery died not long after he got this and I have had a heck of a time finding a battery that would fit. Finally found one, he is so happy.
Dalton can't wait to drive, he is getting so big, he is as tall as I am now.

My new toys
This post is just for Melissa, she made a special request for a picture of my new toys! A few weeks ago Ray told me that I should go and buy myself a new washer and dryer, he specifically said to pick out the "high efficiency" kind. The old washer and dryer still worked perfectly well but who am I to argue, when Ray suggest I "go shopping" I don't argue. Would you?? Anyway I love the new toys, it almost makes doing laundry fun, but don't tell Ray. I always tell him that I just can't do laundry every single day, but maybe now I can every other day!:)

Slide Show
Thought I would post some pictures of our trip to Texas we took in January. Ray's dad had passed away and we went to Texas for the memorial service. It was really great to see Ray's family, we even got to meet family that we had never met before. We took the kids and Ray's mom (aka) Grandma Funny to Galveston and walked along the beach, this is one of my favorite places to go when we go to Texas.
